ALDERGROVE · FULL FLOW HYDRAULICS

Before the storm.
Before the scramble.

A useful preseason booking starts with equipment identification, a clear fault description and a parts conversation before the truck is needed.

What should I prepare before booking preseason plow service?

Send the equipment identifiers, photographs and a clear symptom description. Then confirm the assessment, parts and testing scope with the shop before committing to a deadline.

Start with the exact equipment

A blade brand alone is not enough to identify the whole installation. Collect the truck year, make and model, the plow identification plate, controller details and photographs of the mount and connectors. For a used setup, tell the shop what came with it and what has changed. That makes the first conversation more useful than asking for a generic installation price.

What the manufacturer checklist covers

WESTERN’s public checklist groups preseason attention around mounting, electrical connections, hydraulic condition and wear items. It includes looking for damaged hoses or leaks and checking cutting-edge wear. Its maintenance instructions also refer owners to the recommended fluid and the applicable manual. These are manufacturer service topics, not evidence that a particular truck has passed an inspection. [1]

Turn observations into a booking brief

Describe what you have observed: a function that does not respond, an intermittent light, visible damage or fluid on the ground. Record when it occurs and which controls were being used. A short video taken safely from outside the equipment’s movement area can help explain the symptom. Ask the technician what information they want; a description does not replace diagnosis.

Order the identified part, not the nearest-looking one

Before buying, ask the shop to confirm the part number and compatibility with your equipment. Separate the item you know is damaged from parts that are merely suspected. Request confirmation of stock, expected arrival and whether additional hardware is needed. This page does not promise a delivery date or that Full Flow has a particular item available.

Make the quote easy to compare

Ask for distinct lines for assessment, parts, installation and functional testing. If the inspection reveals more work, agree how the shop should obtain your approval. A parts-only price is not a complete repair estimate. Where you are supplying equipment, disclose its condition and ask what can be confirmed before it reaches the shop.

Keep a simple service record

Save the equipment identifiers, reported symptom, approved scope, invoice and any handover notes together. Note what was repaired and what remains open. This is ordinary maintenance organisation, not a certification or an insurance promise. For a contractor, having that record available also makes the next booking easier when a different person calls on behalf of the business.

Talk to Durand before setting a route deadline

Full Flow Hydraulics in Aldergrove is the contact for your equipment enquiry. Ask Durand about snowplow installation, hydraulic service and repair scope. Confirm compatibility, parts availability, pricing and appointment timing directly. Do not build a customer service promise around an unconfirmed workshop date.

Use the correct manual and a qualified technician

This guide helps organise a service conversation; it does not provide a hydraulic repair procedure. Keep clear of moving equipment and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for parking, isolation and maintenance. Have defects assessed before relying on the plow. The correct procedure depends on the model and installation, not on a general article.
