SNO-WAY LINEUP · INSTALLATION PLANNING

The blade. The truck.
The work ahead.

Looking at Sno-Way? Start with the work you need to do, then confirm the vehicle match. Here is a practical lineup guide to take into your conversation with Durand.

Which Sno-Way should you discuss with Durand?

Shortlist a blade family around your properties, snow-stacking space and truck. Then have the exact vehicle, mount, electrical system and load limits checked. A model name or nominal truck class alone is not an installation approval.

This is an editorial comparison for a Full Flow enquiry, not a hands-on test or a quotation from Durand. Ask the shop to confirm whether it can supply, install or service your particular Sno-Way setup, and on what terms.

A useful map of the lineup

Sno-Way currently groups truck plows into straight, V and hinged-wing ranges. Its catalog also separates UTV and skid-steer/tractor equipment. The table is a family-level shortlist, not a complete fitment chart. [1–4]

FamilyCurrent examplesQuestion to bring to the shop
Straight22 / 26; 22 / 26 DriveWay; 29HD; 32 ContractorWhat width and installed weight suit this truck and these entrances?
V-plowFlared 22V, 26V, 29VHD; 29RVHDWhich configurations suit the route, and what control and hydraulic package is required?
Hinged wing26R, 29R, Revolution HD; 29RVHDHow much room is available to use and manoeuvre the wings?
Other carriersSeparate UTV and skid-steer/tractor rangesIs this an approved attachment for the exact carrier and interface?

The 29RVHD appears in both manufacturer truck categories; it is not two different products merely because it has two catalog placements. Compare the exact product specification before ordering. [3,4]

Straight blade: begin with the actual sites

A straightforward shortlist starts with the property: lane widths, parked vehicles, loading doors, curbs and the destination for cleared snow. Bring photographs and a route sketch. Explain whether the truck mostly opens driveways, makes repeated passes along lanes or works larger lots.

The editorial question is not simply “How wide can I buy?” It is “What works through the narrowest access and still suits the truck when installed?” Ask about the entire package, including mount and any required ballast. Do not transfer an approval from a similar-looking pickup.

V-plow: describe the job before comparing features

Sno-Way describes independently moving wings that allow different blade configurations in its V-plow family. [5] Bring a real example of where you expect to change configuration. A useful conversation might cover opening an entrance, directing snow away from an obstacle and finishing the final pass.

Those are planning questions, not measured productivity claims. The value depends on the site and operator. Ask which controller, hydraulic arrangement and service documentation correspond to the precise plow under consideration.

Hinged wings: account for the working envelope

The hinged-wing shortlist deserves a look when collecting and directing snow is central to the route. Sno-Way lists the 26R, 29R and Revolution HD in that group alongside the 29RVHD. [4] Compare how the equipment will be used around islands, parked cars and stack locations, rather than selecting from the largest advertised width.

Ask what space is needed with the wings in each position, how the truck will turn at the site and where the blade must sit for transport. Do not use a generic sketch as a clearance measurement.

Used Sno-Way? Identify its generation first

A used blade can come with an incomplete or mixed collection of parts. Send clear photographs of the model and serial plates, mount, connectors, hydraulic unit and controller. Describe what came from the donor truck and what is missing. Sno-Way’s identification document records changes between product generations; its service center sorts manuals by equipment and serial ranges. [6,7]

The manufacturer also notes that Tundra Ram and Series 2 labeling share manuals. [6] That does not mean every truck mount, harness or controller is interchangeable. Ask for the relevant part numbers and the applicable installation documents before buying a transfer kit.

One useful maintenance habit: keep the identifiers with the service record

Save the plow serial number, controller details and matching manual alongside your invoices. Before the season, photograph visible wear or damage and describe any observed fault clearly. Have the shop confirm the inspection scope and model-specific maintenance instructions. Avoid making pressure adjustments or choosing hydraulic fluid from a general lineup article.

Ask what should be checked before handover and how any remaining issue will be recorded. A confirmed service record is more useful at the next breakdown than a folder containing only a blade-brand photograph.

Send Durand a brief that can become a quote

Ask the shop to separate assessment, parts, installation and testing in the estimate. Confirm stock, lead times, compatibility and appointment availability directly. This guide does not publish a Sno-Way package price or imply Full Flow is an authorised Sno-Way dealer.
